The Divine Tree: Peepal
Ficus Religiosa or Sacred Fig of Indian sub-continent,
From a Large number of Peepal,
Remained Only two, it can be visualised from the walkway.
Life span is more than 900 or 1400 sometimes 3000 years
Only two are there stood upright with affirmation to save lives.
Huge tree with flare of sebaceous green leaves eyes become tranquil.
Clattering and flattering,
Rustling and Dancing with Joyful gestures.
Moving like hands of children innocent and vibrant
you exert oxygen at highest levels
absorb air toxins and Carbon -di-oxide
Only man can dare to cut this supreme divine tree.
In month of March leaves dried and fell
Again resuscitate and gleam in the month of April
Sight full of orange pink new leaves like blush of a juvenile maiden
like a child nodding in the breeze of a hot sunny morning.
Peepal, you resemble life to resume and acceptance of new changes
You are the shelter for many birds’ insects and microbes.
Only man can dare to cut you for his substantial pursuits,
The time preaches you calls you to grow more and more Peepal
For the survival of you, me and forth coming generations.
O! Devine, forgive and enlighten us
With wisdom that man can not dare to expurgated you again!
